Gorilla Christopher gave a talk to the DFW WordPress Meetup in June, 2014. The talk, called Finding Your Voice, covered ways to overcome common excuses for not podcasting…and how to improve existing podcasts. It was not a “This is how you podcast” talk.
Before the talk, some attendees asked if Christopher planned to cover gear and hosting and other “This is how you podcast” topics. Since that was not what the talk was about, Christopher created this Podcast Resources page. Meant as a complement to our Gear and Process page showing how we do things, we hope it helps people looking for more answers about podcasting.
Since we’re big fans of Adam Savage’s Still Untitled podcast, we have no choice but to point you to their Hardware and Software page. They also did this video:
Christopher is a frequent visitor to Jeff Powers’s Google Plus Podcasters Community. Any question you have…someone there will answer it! The G+ Podcasting Technology Resources community is also great (and they have a LinkedIn group, too).
Daniel J. Lewis’s The Audacity to Podcast site contains a wealth of information, and Cliff Ravenscraft’s Podcast Answer Man site says all you need to know about it! If you want to learn how to hook everything into a mixer, Podcast411 has a PDF that shows you how. (A setup showing a mixing setup for Skype calls, and scroll down to 2014 Podcast Setup for a very basic mixer to device setup.)
